Andromeda Loans (legally incorporated as Andromeda Sales & Distribution Private Limited) is an Indian financial services company headquartered in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Founded in 1991 by V. Swaminathan, the company operates as a loan distributor and aggregator, connecting borrowers with banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs).

As of 2025, Andromeda operates across 1500+ cities in India, with more than 500+ branches and a partner network of over 25,000 direct selling agents (DSAs). History

Andromeda was established in 1991 by V. Swaminathan, initially functioning as a direct sales associate (DSA) for Citibank. Over time, it expanded into a pan-India loan distribution company, partnering with major banks and NBFCs to offer personal, home, business, and property loans.

In 2019, Wadhawan Global Capital (parent of DHFL) sold its stake in Andromeda to the Metdist Group.[2] Following the acquisition, Andromeda scaled its branch presence, agent network, and digital operations.

Operations

Andromeda functions primarily as a loan distribution platform. Instead of lending directly, it partners with banks and NBFCs to facilitate loans. Its portfolio includes:
