Draft:AllEvents

AllEvents (stylised as AllEvents.in) is an online event discovery and ticketing service operated by Allevents Informations Private Limited.[1][2] The platform lists concerts, festivals, comedy shows, classes, workshops, religious gatherings, business meet-ups and other local activities, allowing users to search by city, date and category and enabling organisers to publish event pages and sell tickets.[3]

The service was launched in 2011 by Amit Panchal and Ruchit Patel and was initially promoted under the phrase "All Events in City".[4] Company material and external profiles describe its evolution from a local listings project into an international web and mobile service, with events syndicated from thousands of cities and a reported user base in the tens of millions.[5][6] A 2025 case study by Microsoft’s Clarity analytics team refers to AllEvents as serving more than 20 million users globally, although these figures are based on the company’s own reporting rather than independent audits.[7]

AllEvents and its earlier iteration "All Events in City" have been cited in coverage of the Indian startup ecosystem and regional digital-innovation awards, including the Manthan Award South Asia & Asia Pacific and the mBillionth Mobile Awards South Asia.[8][9] The domain has also appeared in external analyses of event-services websites and AI-generated search citations.[10]

History

AllEvents was founded in 2011 by college friends Amit Panchal and Ruchit Patel, who had previously worked together on web projects through Amitech Business Solutions.[11] Early accounts describe the project as an attempt to centralise event information that was otherwise scattered across posters, social networks and small websites, under the descriptive name "All Events in City".[12]

A 2012 feature on the Manthan Award winners characterised "All Events in City" as a global startup curating event information and operating as a product of Amitech Business Solutions, and noted that the service was incubated at the communications school MICA in Ahmedabad.[13][14] A profile of the Gujarat startup ecosystem published by technology outlet Inc42 in 2015 listed AllEvents among local ventures, describing it as a bootstrapped event discovery platform with a presence across tens of thousands of cities and a large catalogue of events.[15]

Community write-ups and startup-network events have frequently described AllEvents as a bootstrapped company rather than a venture-funded one. At a 2017 eChai Ventures session titled "Bootstrapping Your Startup", AllEvents co-founder Amit Panchal was presented as an example of a founder growing a consumer-internet product largely through product revenue and search-driven traffic rather than external capital.[16]

During the early 2010s the platform primarily supported listings for in-person events. As the catalog expanded, the company added tools for event organisers to create pages, manage attendees and sell tickets, and introduced mobile applications for Android and iOS to mirror the website’s discovery and ticketing features.[17][18]

In 2020, during restrictions on public gatherings associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, AllEvents expanded it's reach to events and workshops that could be run online. A company case study on its blog highlighted an art-class organiser who moved to online sessions using the platform’s tools, reporting several-fold growth in revenue during the pandemic period.[19]

By the mid-2020s, AllEvents materials and third-party write-ups described the service as operating internationally, with strong usage in United States and growing catalogues in markets such as North America and Europe.[20][21] In 2023, the startup network eChai Ventures named AllEvents its "Consumer Tech Company of the Year" at the eChai Startup Awards held in Ahmedabad.[22]

Platform and features

AllEvents operates as a web platform and mobile app that curates event listings and provides ticketing tools. Users can search for events by city, date, category and keyword and browse curated collections such as "this weekend" or city-specific round-ups.[23][24] Listings cover categories including music, comedy, nightlife, festivals, sports, children’s activities, professional events and local classes.[25]

For organisers, AllEvents provides a dashboard and form-based tools to create event pages, upload images and videos, define ticket types and prices, and manage registrations and guest lists.[26] According to software-comparison and review sites, the service includes functionality commonly found in event-management products, such as attendee management, ticketing, registration management, email marketing, social promotion and basic reporting and analytics.[27][28]

AllEvents also offers an optional paid promotion layer for organisers seeking to increase visibility for their events. The company describes this as an "event promotion platform" that can feature selected events higher in on-site listings, include them in newsletters and send targeted notifications to potential attendees based on location and interests.[29] The same material emphasises that promotion campaigns are managed by AllEvents’ marketing team and that outcomes such as ticket sales are not guaranteed.[30]

In addition to the main consumer-facing site, the company provides tools aimed at organisers for tasks such as QR-code generation for tickets and trackable links for monitoring the performance of event-marketing campaigns.[31] Software-review platforms note that the product is used both by individual organisers and by organisations running recurring events, meet-ups and classes.[32]

Mobile applications

AllEvents offers mobile applications for Android and iOS that mirror the discovery and ticketing functions of the website.[33][34] The consumer app allows users to set a location, browse nearby events, filter by category or date, follow organisers, save events to a personal list and receive notifications when new events matching their interests are published.[35][36] Tickets purchased through the platform can be stored digitally in the app, and the iOS version integrates with Apple Wallet for ticket storage and check-in at participating venues.[37]

As of late 2025, the Android app on Google Play had recorded more than two million downloads and an aggregate user rating above 4.5 out of 5, while the iOS app held a similar rating on the App Store.[38][39] These figures reflect store listings and user reviews and have not been independently audited.

For organisers, AllEvents provides a separate "All Events Organizer" app on Android that connects to organiser profiles and events hosted on the platform. The organiser app description highlights features such as tracking page visits, attendees, tickets sold and revenue, managing multiple organiser profiles, accessing analytics and enabling "pay at venue" options for some events.[40]

Name and branding

Company explanations of the brand state that AllEvents began under the longer phrase "All Events in City", reflecting an intention to provide a single place where local residents could view what was happening around them.[41] Early award citations and promotional material used the phrase "All Events in City" alongside the allevents.in domain name.[42]

As the service expanded, the company increasingly presented itself under the shorter name AllEvents or AllEvents.in, with city-specific landing pages (for example, "Events in Ahmedabad" or "Events in Toronto") used to structure listings by geography.[43][44] Company marketing materials state that the ".in" in the brand is intended to evoke events taking place "in" a user’s city rather than solely indicating the Indian country domain code.[45]

Marketing copy and footer text on the site describe AllEvents as a "go-to place to discover events for more than 20M people globally", language which is widely repeated in company-controlled channels.[46][47]

Events and listings

AllEvents curates listings for events submitted by a mixture of small organisers, informal community groups and larger venues or promoters. Its catalog includes concerts, cultural festivals, religious gatherings, comedy nights, workshops, business networking events, sports activities and children’s events.[48][49] City-level pages highlight trending categories and upcoming activities, while thematic collections and newsletters are used to surface events to users who have expressed interest in particular topics.[50]

Because coverage of specific events promoted through the platform largely appears in AllEvents’ own listings and marketing rather than in independent news sources, most individual events are not documented in depth in secondary literature. External reporting about the platform therefore tends to focus on the business, its user base and its role in local startup ecosystems rather than on particular concerts or festivals.[51]

Technology and analytics

AllEvents’ public material emphasises its use of analytics and experimentation to shape the design of its event pages and recommendation systems. In a 2025 case study, Microsoft Clarity reported that AllEvents used heatmaps and session recordings to understand where users clicked, scrolled and abandoned event pages, and that these findings informed changes to the positioning of banners, calls to action and map widgets.[52] The same case study stated that the company tracked the impact of design changes on RSVP conversions and engagement metrics, though these figures are based on internal reporting rather than independent measurement.[53]

Documentation aimed at organisers indicates that AllEvents uses structured data to make events eligible for appearance in search-engine event carousels and that it surfaces events through email, push notifications and recommendation modules based on user behaviour and category preferences.[54] Software-review and comparison sites frequently mention the platform’s reporting tools and note that organisers use them to monitor ticket sales, attendance and marketing performance.[55][56]

Recognition and awards

In 2012, "All Events in City" received the Manthan Award South Asia & Asia Pacific in the e-Travel and Tourism category. The official winners list and award booklet describe the project as a platform designed to make users aware of "all events" in their city and list Amitech Business Solutions as the producer.[57][58] The same year, "All Events in City" was listed as a finalist in the mBillionth Mobile Awards South Asia in the m-Travel & Tourism category.[59]

In 2023, AllEvents was included among the winners of the eChai Startup Awards, where it was named "Consumer Tech Company of the Year" in a list of startups and small businesses recognised for their contributions to the local ecosystem.[60]

AllEvents is also present in a range of software directories and review platforms. Capterra, SoftwareAdvice and similar sites list it in their event-management and event-registration categories and provide aggregate ratings based on user reviews.[61][62] A 2024 overview of event-listing sites by International Exhibitions included AllEvents among its recommended free services for organisers, describing it as offering listings, ticketing and personalised recommendations.[63]

In 2025, an analysis by SEO tool provider Ahrefs of domains most frequently cited in Google’s "AI Mode" responses listed allevents.in among the 100 most cited domains, alongside general-purpose information sites and large consumer platforms. The traffic-analytics company Semrush includes AllEvents in its regularly updated rankings of "Events Services" websites worldwide, where it appears among the more visited domains in that industry category.[64]
