Comment: You have to check the references before submitting a draft. The New York Times article does not exist at the provided link. The Bohusläningen article cannot be found at bohuslaningen.se, perhaps because the online archives do not go back that far, but that makes it even more important that the reader gets an exact date. On which date was the article published? (That being said, an article in a small local newspaper will not contribute to the person's notability even if it isn't an interview. But the reference still must be traceable.) The other references show no notability for her. bonadea contributions talk 14:07, 31 March 2026 (UTC)
Alice Saga (born Alice Amorina Lindha Marina Violette Sagum), also known professionally as Lindha Jacobsson and Linda Portman, is a Swedish fine art photographer, poet, and fashion editor. She worked in the fashion department of The New York Times Magazine from 2000 to 2006,[1][2] and has been profiled as a fine art photographer by Around Dulwich magazine.[3]
Early life and education
Saga was born in Sweden. She studied Fashion Marketing and Merchandising at Berkeley College in New York City.[2] She was profiled in Swedish newspaper Bohusläningen under the headline "Frilans i modevärlden" (Freelance in the Fashion World), describing her work at The New York Times.[2]
Career
The New York Times Magazine (2000–2006)
From January 2000 to April 2006, Saga (credited as Lindha Jacobsson) worked in the fashion department of The New York Times Magazine, initially under fashion critic Amy Spindler and subsequently under Stefano Tonchi.[2] She coordinated fashion coverage across major international markets and sourced clothing for T Magazine covers.[4][5]
In November 2004, she styled a feature for The Sunday Times Style supplement, photographed by Ben Watts, featuring models Natalia Vodianova, Maria Carla Boscono, and Frankie Rayder.
Fashion editing and styling
After leaving New York, Saga moved to London where she worked as Fashion Editor for Crash Magazine (2010–2014) and served as Fashion Director of Odalisque Magazine.[6] Her styling work has also appeared in VICE, Image Magazine, Petit Magazine, and Lurve Magazine.
Fine art photography
Saga's fine art photography focuses on self-portraiture, producing series including Flower Faeries, Cherry Blossom Girl, Child in Time, and Pagan Poetry. Her work has been featured on Vogue Italia through the PhotoVogue platform, encompassing still life, documentary, portraiture, nature, and fashion photography.[7] She was profiled by Around Dulwich magazine as a fine art photographer in 2016.[3]
Faerie Tales of Violette
In London, Saga founded Faerie Tales of Violette, a fine art magazine combining ethereal photography, illustration, poetry, and fashion. Two issues were completed: "Pagan Poetry" (a reference to Björk) and "I Am a Fucking Wonder" (a Frida Kahlo quote). The magazine is available as an ebook through Blurb Books and Apple Books.[8]
