Zanggi atau Janggi adalah kata slang yang umumnya digunakan di Indonesia untuk merujuk kepada orang keturunan kulit hitam asli Afrika. Definisi kamus untuk kata ini merujuk pada "Habsyi", yang menunjukkan bahwa definisinya yang kaku adalah Afrika Timur.[1][2]

Etimologi

Istilah "zanggi" berasal dari evolusi pelafalan / pengucapan istilah "Zang" ("زنگ"), kata serapan dari Bahasa Persia yang dijabarkan KBBI IV sebagai kawasan pesisir Afrika Timur.[3][4]
