Tonalit
Tonalit adalah batuan beku, batuan intrusi plutonik, dari komposisi felsik dengan tekstur faneritik. Felspar hadir sebagai plagioklas (biasanya oligoklas atau andesin) dengan 10% atau kurang alkali felspar. Komposisi kuarsa pada batu lebih besar dari 20%. Ampibol dan piroksen merupakan mineral tambahan yang umum.
Dalam referensi yang lebih tua, tonalit kadang-kadang digunakan sebagai sinonim untuk diorit kuarsa. Namun klasifikasi IUGS mendefinisikan bahwa tonalit memiliki lebih dari 20% kuarsa sementara diorit kuarsa didefinisikan memiliki 5 sampai 20% kuarsa.
