Tengen

Zaman Tengen (天元) adalah nama zaman di Jepang setelah zaman Jōgen, sebelum zaman Eikan dan berlangsung dari tahun 978 hingga tahun 982. Pada masa pemerintahan Kaisar En'yū.

Pergantian zaman

  • Nama zaman perlu diganti pada zaman Jōgen tahun 3 bulan 11 hari 29 (31 Desember 978 kalender Julian) menjadi zaman Tengen, karena tahunnya berikutnya merupakan tahun sial.
  • Nama zaman diganti menjadi zaman Eikan pada Tengen tahun 6 bulan 4 hari 15 (29 Mei 983 kalender Julian).
