Taveuni adalah pulau terbesar ketiga di Fiji, setelah Viti Levu dan Vanua Levu, dengan total luas daratan 434 kilometer persegi (168 mil persegi). Pulau berbentuk cerutu ini, gunung berapi perisai besar yang menjulang dari dasar Samudra Pasifik, terletak 6,5 kilometer (4,0 mil) di sebelah timur Vanua Levu, di seberang Selat Somosomo. Pulau ini termasuk dalam Kelompok Kepulauan Vanua Levu dan merupakan bagian dari Provinsi Cakaudrove di Divisi Utara.
Pulau ini memiliki populasi sekitar 19.000 jiwa, sekitar 75 persen di antaranya adalah penduduk asli Fiji, pada sensus tahun 2015. Taveuni memiliki flora yang melimpah dan dikenal sebagai 'Pulau Taman Fiji'. Pulau ini merupakan tujuan wisata yang populer. Wisatawan tertarik dengan kesempatan menyelam yang luar biasa, kehidupan burung yang melimpah, jalan setapak di hutan belantara, dan air terjun. Bagian tengah pulau menerima curah hujan yang sangat tinggi. Karena berasal dari gunung berapi, tanah Taveuni telah mendukung industri paling penting di pulau ini secara historis, yakni pertanian.
