Taruga eques adalah spesies katak pohon dalam famili Rhacophoridae. Spesies ini endemik ke perbukitan tengah Sri Lanka.

Taruga eques merupakan katak besar. Dewasanya sepanjang 33–43 mm (1,3–1,7 in) sementara betinanya 59–71 mm (2,3–2,8 in) dari moncong ke buntut. Moncongnya panjang, runcing dan berbentuk segitiga; betina bermoncong oranye kemerahan sementara jantan cenderung cokelat. Bagian bawah moncongnya kelabu hingga kuning-krem. Pola belakangnya dapat bervariasi dari bentuk jam pasir hingga tutul cokelat. Kaki belakangnya memiliki garis-garis hitam.[3]
