Syncerus adalah genus sapi Afrika yang berisi kerbau afrika (Syncerus caffer) yang masih hidup, termasuk kerbau hutan Afrika yang khas. Setidaknya satu spesies punah termasuk dalam genus ini; Syncerus acoelotus.[1][2] Kerbau raksasa Afrika yang telah punah (Syncerus antiquus) juga dimasukkan dalam genus ini oleh banyak pihak terkait.[3]
