"Starving" adalah lagu oleh penyanyi asal Amerika Serikat, Hailee Steinfeld dan duo Grey, serta menampilkan produser asal Rusia-Jerman, Zedd. Lagu ini ditulis oleh anggota Gray, Michael Trewartha dan Kyle Trewartha bersama Robert McCurdy, Christopher Petrosino dan Asia Whiteacre.[2] Lagu ini dirilis pada 22 Juli 2016 melalui Republic Records dan Universal Music Group.[3] "Starving" termasuk dalam edisi Jepang dari Extended play debut Steinfeld, Haiz (2015).[4] Lagu ini berfungsi sebagai single ketiga dan terakhir dari album tersebut.

Latar Belakang

Dalam sebuah wawancara dengan Irina Grechko dari majalah Nylon, Steinfeld mengatakan "'Starving' adalah lagu tentang seperti mengenal seseorang, atau ingin mengenal seseorang. Ini adalah gagasan bahwa sejak Anda datang ke dalam hidup saya semuanya berbeda, dan saya tidak tahu bahwa ini bisa menjadi berbeda sejak Anda datang ke dalam hidup saya."[5]

Video Musik

Video musik lagu ini di sutradarai oleh Darren Craig dirilis pada 27 September 2016. Video menampilkan tarian Steinfeld dengan empat penari latar pria yang bertelanjang dada, serta penampilan cameo oleh Grey.[6]
