Sirenidae, atau siren, adalah sebuah famili salamander akuatik neotenik. Anggota famili ini memiliki kaki depan yang sangat kecil dan tidak memiliki kaki belakang sama sekali.[1] pada satu spesies, kerangka dari anggota depannya terbuat dari tulang rawan. Tidak seperti kebanyakan salamander lainnya, mereka memiliki insang eksternal yang mengelompok di lehernya, dari tahap larva sampai dewasa. Siren hanya dapat ditemukan di Amerika Serikat Tenggara dan Meksiko utara.[1]

Meski mereka pada pokoknya karnivor, mereka menjadi satu-satunya salamander yang pernah teramati memakan material tumbuhan.[2]
