Shō Gen (尚元, 1528–1572) adalah Raja dari Kerajaan Ryukyu dari tahun 1556 hingga tahun 1572.[2] Ia dipanggil juga sebagai "Gen, si bisu."[3] Raja membutuhkan dukungan yang cukup besar dari Sanshikan (Dewan Tiga), dewan kepala penasihat kerajaan. Pemerintahannya menandai awal dari demonstrasi Dewan tentang efektivitas dan efisiensi yang jauh lebih besar daripada sebelumnya.
