Kehidupan awal
Simpkins lahir di Manhattan, Kota New York, dan pindah ke California pada tahun 2006. Adik laki-lakinya juga seorang pemeran Ty Simpkins. Simpkins menempuh pendidikan di UC Berkeley.[1]
