Ruth Roman (nama lahir Norma Roman 22 Desember 1922 - September 9, 1999) adalah seorang aktris Amerika.[1] Salah satu perannya yang paling berkesan adalah Stranger on a Train sebuah film thriller tahun 1951 adaptasi novel karya Alfred Hitchcock.[1]

Dia lahir di pinggiran Boston dari seorang ibu bernama Lynn, Massachusetts,sebuah keluarga imigran dari Lithuania.[2] Sebagai seorang gadis, dia mengejar keinginannya untuk menjadi seorang aktris dengan mendaftar di bergengsi Sekolah Drama Uskup Lee di Boston.[2] Setelah studinya selesai dia menuju ke di Hollywood di mana ia memperoleh sedikit bagian dalam beberapa film sebelum Ia mendapatkan peran dalam tiga belas episode seri Jungle Queen (1945).[2] Menikah tiga kali, dia punya satu anak, Richard, dengan suami pertamanya, Mortimer Hall.[2] Pada bulan Juli 1956, Ruth baru saja menyelesaikan perjalanan ke Eropa dengan Richard, atau "Dickie" karena ia disebut sebagai seorang anak, yang berusia tiga tahun pada saat itu.[2]
