Random act of kindness

Tindakan kebaikan acak (bahasa Inggris: Random act of kindness) adalah tindakan spontan dan acak untuk melakukan kebaikan kepada orang lain.[1] Ungkapan "practice random kindness and senseless acts of beauty" pertama kali ditulis oleh Anne Herbert di Sausalito, California pada tahun 1982. Frasa ini merupakan negasi dari ungkapan "random acts of violence and senseless acts of cruelty".[2] Buku Herbert yang berjudul Random Kindness and Senseless Acts of Beauty diterbitkan pada Februari 1993 berisi berbagai kisah nyata tentang melakukan kebaikan.

Ungkapan ini biasanya dinyatakan sebagai sebuah ajakan untuk "Melakukan tindakan kebaikan secara acak." Terdapat berbagai kelompok di seluruh dunia yang berkampanye mengenai tindakan kebaikan spontan secara acak.
