Prior

Prior, berasal dari kata Latin untuk "awal, pertama", (atau prioress untuk biarawati) adalah sebuah gelar gerejawi untuk superior, biasanya dalam jabatan yang lebih rendah ketimbang Abbas atau abdis. Pemakaian generik sebelumnya merujuk kepada superior monastik manapun.
