Dalam penerbitan akademik, pra-cetak adalah sebuah versi makalah ilmiah atau pembelajaran yang mendahului penelaahan sejawat formal jurnal ilmiah atau pembelajaran. Pra-cetak dapat tersedia, sering kali sebagai versi non-gaya tulis yang tersedia secara bebas, sebelum atau setelah makalah diterbitkan dalam jurnal.
