PostTrak

PostTrak adalah layanan survei penonton film yang berbasis di AS untuk studio film.

Sejarah

Layanan melakukan survei di 20 pasar teratas di AS dan Kanada dengan menggunakan kartu polling dan kios elektronik. Laporan PostTrak untuk sebuah film menggabungkan susunan demografis, opini tentang film, kesan pemasaran film, kapan tiket dibeli, dan rencana untuk membeli atau menyewa film di media rumahan.[1]

Layanan ini dirancang oleh Kevin Goetz, pendiri dan CEO Screen Engine.[2] Layanan ini diluncurkan pada tahun 2013 oleh Screen Engine dan Rentrak ; yang terakhir menyediakan data box office ke studio. PostTrak berfokus pada rilis luas dan jajak pendapat pemirsa di 20 pasar di AS dan Kanada, di mana layanan sebelumnya berfokus pada tiga atau empat pasar. Sebagian besar dari enam studio besar telah berlangganan layanan tersebut, serta beberapa distributor. Reporter Hollywood menulis pada 2013 bahwa perusahaan jajak pendapat CinemaScore telah memonopoli industri film selama tiga dekade tetapi menerima kritik karena "mengandalkan teknik jajak pendapat yang ketinggalan zaman dan sampel yang terlalu terbatas" dan akan ditantang oleh PostTrak. Sementara jajak pendapat CinemaScore pada skala A+ hingga F, PostTrak memberikan persentase skor positif pada skala 1–100, di antara reaksi lainnya, seperti seberapa besar kemungkinan penonton akan merekomendasikan film tersebut kepada teman.[2][3]

Akuisisi

Dengan akuisisi Rentrak oleh comScore pada tahun 2016, layanan ini dimiliki oleh comScore dan Screen Engine.[4][5]
