Jungle adalah genre musik dansa yang berkembang dari rave scene Inggris dan budaya sound system pada 1990-an. Muncul dari breakbeat hardcore, gaya ini dicirikan oleh breakbeat yang cepat, loop perkusi yang sangat sinkopasi, sampel, dan efek yang disintesis, dikombinasikan dengan bassline yang dalam, melodi, dan sampel vokal yang ditemukan di dub, reggae dan dancehall, serta hip hop dan funk . Banyak produser sering mencicipi "Amen break" atau breakbeat lainnya dari rekaman funk dan jazz.[1][2]

Jungle adalah pelopor langsung genre drum dan bass yang muncul pada pertengahan 1990-an.[3][4]
