Pilin
Dalam ilmu matematika, pilin atau pintal (bahasa Inggris: spiral) adalah bentuk lengkung yang dimulai dari sebuah titik, bergerak melingkari titik tersebut, tetapi gerakan tersebut semakin lama semakin menjauh dari titik awal.
Spiral dua dimensi
Spiral 2 dimensi secara mudah dijelaskan menggunakan sistem koordinat polar, di mana radius r adalah fungsi kontinu dari sebuah fungsi monotonik sudut θ (theta).
Beberapa bentuk spiral 2 dimensi termasuk di antaranya:
