Peter Michael Stephan Hacker (lahir 15 Juli 1939) adalah seorang filsuf Britania. Ia merupakan ahli filsafat budi dan bahasa. Ia dikenal akan penafsirannya terhadap karya-karya Ludwig Wittgenstein dan kritiknya terhadap ilmu saraf kognitif.[1]
Latar belakang pendidikan
Peter Hacker mempelajari filsafat, politik dan ekonomi di The Queen's College, Oxford dari tahun 1960–63. Pada tahun 1963–65, ia mengenyam pendidikan di di St Antony's College, Oxford, dan di situ ia menulis tesis di bawah pengawasan H. L. A. Hart. Tesis D.Philnya yang berjudul "Rules and Duties" diselesaikan pada tahun 1966 selama Junior Research Fellowship di Balliol College, Oxford.
