Peter Brochbanks (15 Juli 1947 – 7 Maret 2013) adalah gitaris pertama kelompok Yes. Ia memilih nama panggung Peter Banks dan bermain di sebuah grup bernama The Syn dengan Chris Squire sekitar tahun 1966. Dua tahun kemudian mereka kembali bersama di grup lain yang bernama Mabel Greer's Toyshop dengan vokalis Jon Anderson. Setelah merekrut pemain keyboards Tony Kaye dan jazz drummer Bill Bruford, mereka mencari nama yang cocok. Banks mengusulkan nama "Yes" yang sangat sederhana dan positif, dan anggota lainnya setuju.

Peter Banks keluar dari Yes setelah album kedua mereka dan bergabung di beberapa band lain, seperti Flash dan juga karier solo.
