Palm OS (juga dikenal sebagai Garnet OS) adalah suatu sistem operasi mobile yang sudah dihentikan. Pada awalnya dikembangkan oleh Palm, Inc., untuk personal digital assistant (PDA) pada tahun 1996. Palm OS dirancang untuk kemudahan penggunaan dengan layar sentuhberbasis graphical user interface. Hal ini didukung dengan paket aplikasi dasar untuk manajemen informasi pribadi. Versi OS selanjutnya ditambahkan dukungan untuk smartphone.

Pencipta dan kepemilikan

Palm OS awalnya dikembangkan di bawah arahan Jeff Hawkins di Palm Computing, Inc.[2] Palm kemudian diakuisisi oleh US Robotics Corp,[3] yang pada gilirannya kemudian oleh 3Com,[4] yang membuat Palm menjadi anak perusahaan independen perusahaan publik pada tanggal 2 Maret 2000.[5]
