Orthros

Orthrus mati di kaki Gerion dan Herakles.

Orthros atau Orthos (bahasa Yunani: Όρθρος; Όρθος) adalah makhluk mitologi Yunani yang berupa anjing berkepala dua dan saudaranya Kerberos. Ia adalah anak dari monster Ekhidna dan Tifon.[1]

Dalam mitologi

Orthros dipelihara oleh raksasa berbadan tiga bernama Gerion. Orthros dan Eurition ditugaskan menjaga ternak Gerion di tanah Erithia di Hesperides sebelah barat Mediterania. Herakles membunuh Orthros, Eurition, dan Gerion sebelum Herakles mengambil ternak tersebut untuk menyelesaikan tugas kedua belasnya.
