Ophthalmosaurus (dari Bahasa Yunani ὀφθάλμος ophthalmos 'mata' dan σαῦρος sauros 'kadal') adalah sebuah genus ichthyosauriapunah yang hidup pada periode Jura Tengah sampai Jura Akhir. Kemungkinan sisa-sisa dari Periode Kapur terawal, sekitar 145 juta tahun lalu, juga telah diketahui. Genus ini merupakan ichthyosaur berukuran relatif sedang, dengan panjang 4 m (13 ft) dan berat 940 kg (2.070 pon).[2][3] Dinamai "kadal mata" karena matanya yang sangat besar, hewan ini memiliki rahang dengan banyak gigi kecil dan jagur. Penemuan-penemuan utama fosil-fosil Opthalmosaurus berasal dari Eropa, dengan spesies kedua kemungkinan ditemukan di Amerika Utara.
