Ooteka belalang sentadu

Ooteka /oʊ.əˈθiːkə/ (jamak:: oothecae /oʊ.əˈθiːsiː/) adalah salah satu jenis kapsul telur yang dihasilkan oleh anggota beragam spesies yang mencakup moluska (seperti Turbinella laevigata), belalang sentadu dan kecoak.[1][2][3]

Etimologi

Kata ini merupakan latinisasi gabungan oo- yang berarti "telur", dari kata bahasa Yunani ōon (cf. Latin ovum), dan theca, yang berarti penutup, dari kata bahasa Yunani theke. Ootheke adalah kata bahasa Yunani untuk ovarium.
