OPS 5113

OPS 5113, juga dikenal sebagai Navstar 3, GPS I-3 dan GPS SVN-3, adalah satelit navigasi Amerika diluncurkan pada tahun 1978 sebagai bagian dari program pengembangan Global Positioning System. Ini adalah satelit ketiga dari sebelas satelit Blok I GPS yang diluncurkan.[1]

Launch

OPS 5113 diluncurkan di 00:28 UTC pada tanggal 7 Oktober 1978 di atas sebuah kapal roket Atlas E / F dengan tahap atas SGS-1. Atlas yang digunakan memiliki nomor seri 47F, dan pada awalnya dibangun sebagai Atlas F. Peluncuran berlangsung dari Space Launch Complex 3E di Vandenberg Air Force Base, dan menempatkan OPS 5113 ke orbit transfer. Satelit mengangkat dirinya sendiri ke orbit Bumi medium menggunakan apogee motor Star-27.[2][2][1]
