Nothocercus adalah sbeuah sebuah genus burung dalam famili tinamu. Genus ini mencakup tiga spesies dari famili Amerika Selatan ini.
Nothocercus julius tinggal di hutan-hutan pegunungan lembap pada ketinggian sedang hingga tinggi di Pegunungan Andes dari Venezuela ke selatan sampai Peru. Saat ini spesies itu kehilangan habitatnya karena pembalakan hutan untuk peternakan dan agrikultur.
