Nomisma

Nomisma (bahasa Yunani: νόμισμα) adalah kata Yunani kuno yang berarti "uang" dan berasal dari nomos (νόμος) "apa pun yang ditugaskan, penggunaan, adat, hukum, dan tata cara".[1]

Dalam bahasa Yunani modern, kata nomisma berarti "mata uang".[3] Nomisma juga merupakan istilah yang digunakan oleh numismatis ketika merujuk pada keping uang atau koin dalam bentuk jamak menjadi nomismata contohnya adalah Aes rude di masa Numa Pompilius (Raja ke-2 Roma).[4]

Istilah nomos juga dapat merujuk pada sekitar 8 gram denominasi koin Achaean.[5][6]
