Nipponocypris adalah genus ikan dalam keluarga Cyprinidae yang hanya mengandung tiga spesies ikan saja, satu endemik Jepang, satu di Korea Selatan, dan yang ketiga terdapat di Jepang, Korea, dan Cina. Spesies keempat yang telah punah diketahui berasal dari strata air tawar berumur Pleistosen Tengah dari Cekungan Kusu di Jepang.[1]
