Mikrokode

Dalam arsitektur komputer, mikrokode merupakan lapisan data kontrol level rendah atau instruksi yang digunakan untuk mengimplementasi set instruksi atau kontrol pengurutan internal prosesor.[1] Terdiri dari operasi level perangkat keras yang membawa instruksi kode mesin level tinggi atau pengurutan langsung internal dalam kebanyakan komponen digital. Prosesor seperti Intel dan AMD, instruksi umum didekode secara langsung menjadi operasi-mikro internal, sedangkan mikrokode secara utama digunakan untuk instruksi kompleks, kasus spesial, dan pembaruan prosesor.[2]
