Midleton

Midleton (bahasa Irlandia: Mainistir na Corann) ialah sebuah kota di County Cork bagian tenggara, yang berkembang di sekitar biara yang didirikan pada abad ke-12 oleh rahib Ordo Sistersian dari Burgundia.

Menurut legenda, di Midleton-lah wiski irlandia ditemukan. Entah benar atau tidak, para pengunjung dapat menyaksikan "air kehidupan" di penyulingan minuman keras peninggalan abad ke-18.

Pada tahun 2004, penduduk mencapai 6.700, termasuk sejumlah komuter ke Cork (sejauh 22,5 km). Jumlah ini diharapkan bertambah dengan rencana pembukaan kembali jalur KA pada bulan April 2009.
