Messier 71 (dikenal juga sebagai M71 atau NGC 6838) adalah gugus bola di rasi bintang Sagitta. Objek ini ditemukan oleh Philippe Loys de Chéseaux pada tahun 1746 dan dimasukkan oleh Charles Messier kedalam katalognya sebagai objek menyerupai komet pada tahun 1780. Objek ini juga ditandai oleh Koehler di Dresden sekitar tahun 1775.

M71 memiliki jarak sekitar 12,000 tahun cahaya dari bumi dan merentang sepanjang 27 tahun cahaya.
