Gugus terbuka M36 (dikenal juga dengan Messier 36 atau M36 atau NGC 1960) adalah sebuah gugus terbuka di rasi bintang Auriga. Gugus ini ditemukan oleh Giovanni Batista Hodierna sebelum tahun 1654. M36 memiliki jarak sekitar 4,100 tahun cahaya dari bumi dan membentang sepanjang 14 tahun cahaya. Setidaknya ada lima puluh anggota di gugus ini. Gugus ini sangat mirip dengan gugus Pleiades, dan jika berjarak yang sama dari bumi, maka magnitudonya pun akan sama.
