March of Progress

The March of Progress, yang lebih dikenal sebagai The Road to Homo Sapiens, adalah sebuah ilustrasi yang menampilkan evolusi manusia selama 25 juta tahun. Ilustrasi tersebut dibuat untuk volume Early Man dari Life Nature Library, yang diterbitkan pada 1965.

Ilustrasi tersebut dipandang sebagai gambar dari pandangan mendiskreditkan (ortogenesis) bahwa evolusi bersifat progresif.[1] Sehingga, ilustrasi tersebut banyak diplesetkan dan ditiru untuk menciptakan gambar-gambar progres dari jenis yang lain.

Gambar progres dalam evolusi dipelopori dalam karya tahun 1963 buatan Thomas Henry Huxley Evidence as to Man's Place in Nature.
