Lonsdaleit (untuk menghormati Kathleen Lonsdale), atau yang juga dikenal sebagai berlian heksagonal yang merujuk kepada struktur kristalnya, adalha sebuah alotrop karbon dengan susunan kristal heksagonal, yang membuatnya berbeda dengan struktur kristal kubik pada berlian konvensional. Di alam, mineral ini dapat ditemukan pada sisa-sisa meteorit; saat meteor yang mengandung grafit menumbuk Bumi, panas dan tekanan yang luas biasa dari tumbukan itu mengubah grafity di dalam meteor menjadi berlian, tetapi tidak mengubah struktur kristal heksagonalnya. Lonsdaleit pertamakali diidentifikasi pada 1987 dari Meteorit Canyon Diablo, yang mana kmineral itu hadir dalam wujud kristal-kristal mikroskopik yang dihubungkan dengan berlian biasa.[5][6]
