Lanzhou (兰州, Lánzhōu) merupakan kota yang terletak di Republik Rakyat Tiongkok bagian tengah. Penduduknya berjumlah 1.410.000 jiwa (2005).

Letak Geografis

Kota ini merupakan kota besar tipe I dan kota pusat penting di Tiongkok barat sebagaimana disetujui oleh Dewan Negara. Kota ini merupakan pusat transportasi komprehensif nasional, basis manufaktur canggih di Tiongkok Barat Laut, dan pusat inovasi ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi regional. Terletak di Tiongkok barat laut dan Provinsi Gansu tengah, kota ini merupakan pusat geometris wilayah daratan Tiongkok. Kota ini berbatasan dengan Kota Wuwei dan Kota Baiyin di utara , Kota Dingxi di timur , dan Prefektur Otonomi Hui Linxia di selatan . Pada April 2024, Kota Lanzhou memiliki 5 distrik dan 3 kabupaten di bawah yurisdiksinya, dengan luas total 13.085,6 kilometer persegi. Pada akhir tahun 2024, Kota Lanzhou memiliki penduduk tetap sebanyak 4.436.500 jiwa dan penduduk terdaftar sebanyak 3.413.000 jiwa. Dialek Lanzhou termasuk dalam dialek Utara bahasa Mandarin Lanzhou-Yinchuan.[1]
