KA-SAT

KA-SAT adalah satelit telekomunikasi kinerja keluaran tinggi milik Eutelsat. Satelit ini menyediakan layanan akses pita lebar untuk internet di seluruh Eropa dan juga wilayah kecil di Timur Tengah.

Diposisikan pada 9° BT, bergabung dengan satelit Eurobird 9A Ku. KA-SAT diproduksi oleh EADS Astrium, berdasarkan platform Eurostar E3000, dengan berat total 6 ton. Satelit ini diluncurkan oleh Proton pada bulan Desember 2010. Satelit dinamai sesuai dengan frekuensi band Ka, yang digunakan pada pesawat ruang angkasa.[1][2][3][4][5]
