John S. Marmaduke

John S. Marmaduke (nama lahir John Sappington Marmaduke, 14 Maret 1833 – 28 Desember 1887) adalah Gubernur Missouri ke-25 dari 1885 sampai kematiannya pada 1887.

Pada Perang Saudara Amerika, ia menjadi perwira senior Tentara Negara Konfederasi yang mengkomandani kavaleri di Palagan Trans-Mississippi. Pada 6 September 1863, Marmaduke menewaskan brigjen Konfederasi Lucius M. Walker dalam sebuah duel. Mayjen Sterling Price memerintahkan penangkapan Marmaduke, tetapi menangguhkan perintah tersebut karena pergerakan pasukan Union ke Little Rock, Arkansas. Marmaduke tak pernah menghadapi pengadilan militer untuk duel tersebut.
