Heliobatis merupakan genus ikan pari yang sudah punah. Mereka hidup pada kala Eosen, lebih tepatnya pada subkala Ypresium. Hingga saat ini, hanya ada satu spesies dari genus ini, yang sudah ditemukan. Spesies itu adalah Heliobatis radians.
Fosil
Fosil dari Heliobatis ditemukan di deposit Danau Fosil, yang merupakan bagian dari Formasi Sungai Hijau, yang terletak di barat daya Wyoming.
Heliobatis merupakan salahsatu dari dua fosil pari yang ditemukan di formasi tersebut. Spesimen lainnya, Asterotrygon maloneyi, ditemukan dan diteliti pada 2004.[2]
