Hayu

Hayu (Nepali: हायु) merupakan anggota suku Janajati yang berbicara dalam bahasa mereka sendiri, Wayu atau Hayu. Sedikit yang diketahui tentang mereka. Mereka beragama Hindu.

Menurut sensus Nepal tahun 2001, terdapat 1.821 orang Hayu di negara tersebut, di mana 70,29% beragama Hindu dan 23,61% menganut kepercayaan animisme.

Bahasa Hayu telah didokumentasikan oleh ahli linguistik Boyd Michailovsky.[1] The language currently appears in Wikipedia as 'Vayu'.
