Grain adalah satuan ukuran massa, dan dalam sistem berat troy, avoirdupois, dan apotekaries, sama dengan tepat 64,79891 miligram. Hal ini secara nominal didasarkan pada massa satu biji sereal yang ideal. Dari Zaman Perunggu hingga Renaisans, massa rata-rata biji-bijian gandum dan barley merupakan bagian dari definisi hukum satuan massa. Ungkapan seperti "tiga puluh dua butir gandum, diambil dari bagian tengah telinga" tampaknya merupakan rumusan ritual.[1][2]
