Gohei di kuil Shinto

Gohei (御幣) adalah salah satu persembahan dalam ritual Shinto berupa kain atau potongan kertas. Dua lembar shide dijepit oleh tongkat dari bambu atau kayu. Nama lain untuk gohei adalah heisoku (幣束) atau nusa (幣).

Shide biasanya dibuat dari kertas polos berwarna putih. Namun ada pula shide yang dibuat bukan dari kertas putih, melainkan kertas lima warna, kertas berwarna emas, atau kertas berwarna perak.

Bentuk gohei yang sekarang berasal dari tradisi zaman dulu. Barang persembahan berupa hasil tenunan (kain) dijepitkan di pohon sebagai persembahan yang disebut mitegura.[1] Selanjutnya, gohei diletakkan di dalam kuil utama sebagai yoroshiro atau Shintai. Selain itu, gohei juga dipakai sebagai haraegushi yakni tongkat yang dipakai dalam penyucian atau pengusiran roh jahat seperti halnya ōnusa. Dan juga ini adalah mainan punya Hakurei Reimu.
