Gododdin

Gododdin (pengucapan bahasa Wales: [ɡɔˈdɔðin]) merupakan suku Briton yang berbahasa P-Keltik yang bermukim di timur laut Britania, wilayah tersebut dikenal sebagai Hen Ogledd atau Utara kuno (Skotlandia tenggara modern dan Inggris timur laut), pada zaman sub-Romawi. Suku tersebut merupakan keturunan dari Votadini, mereka dikenal sebagai subjek puisi Wales pada abad ke-6, Y Gododdin, yang mengenang Pertempuran Catraeth dan dikaitkan dengan Aneirin.

Nama Gododdin adalah bentuk Wales Modern, tetapi nama itu muncul dalam bahasa Wales kuno sebagai Guotodin dan berasal dari nama suku Votadini yang dicatat dalam sumber-sumber klasik, seperti dalam teks-teks Yunani dari zaman Romawi.[1]
