Freedom House
Freedom House atau Rumah Kebebasan adalah organisasi nirlaba yang berpusat di Washington, D.C. dengan kantor cabang di berbagai negara. Didirikan oleh Wendell Willkie, Eleanor Roosevelt, George Field, Dorothy Thompson, Herbert Bayard Swope, dan lain-lain pada 1941, mereka mulanya bergabung untuk menentang paham Nazi. Pada tahun 1940-an, Freedom House mendukung Marshall Plan dan pendirian NATO. Freedom House juga mengritik paham McCarthyisme. Pada dasawarsa 1950-an dan 1960-an, mereka mendukung gerakan hak asasi manusia di AS.
Freedom House dibiayai oleh berbagai yayasan, di antaranya Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation, Sarah Scaife Foundation, dan Soros Foundation. Selain itu mereka juga mendapat uang dari pemerintah AS melalui National Endowment for Democracy, USAID, dan State Department.
