Free Lossless Audio Codec (FLAC) adalah format berkas untuk kompresi data audio lossless. Sebuah rekaman digital dapat dikompres ke dalam format FLAC sehingga berukuran lebih kecil, kemudian bila dibutuhkan dapat dikembalikan ke keadaan semula. Secara rata-rata berkas FLAC berukuran 53% dari ukuran aslinya.[2]
Perangkat lunak FLAC bersifat bebas dan open source. FLAC banyak digunakan untuk mengedarkan bootleg rekaman konser, dan lebih disukai oleh penggemar audio karena kualitasnya lebih tinggi daripada mp3.
