Evermay yang juga dikenal dengan Rumah Samuel Davidson, adalah rumah bersejarah yang berlokasi di 1623 28th Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., di daerah Georgetown.


Sejarah

Rumah bergaya federal ini dibangun pada 1801 untuk Samuel Davidson, seorang pengusaha dan pemilik tanah terkemuka pada abad ke-18. Rumah ini didesain oleh Nicholas King, penilai tanah pertama di Washington D.C., dan pendiri dari perpustakaan kota.

Interior rumah pertama kali direnovasi pada 1818. Serambi kemudian ditambahkan pada 1877, oleh Henry Hayes Lockwood, dan John D. McPherson. F. Lammot Belin merenovasi rumah tersebut dan F. Lammot Belin, Jr. menambahkan tembok bernuansa oranye di bagian timur depan pada 1961.[2] Dr. Sachiko Kuno dan Dr. Ryuji Ueno, membeli rumah itu seharga $22 juta pada 2011.[3]

Evermay terdaftar di Register Nasional atas Tempat Bersejarah dan merupakan properti bersejarah di Georgetown Historic District.
