Eric Foner (lahir 7 Februari 1943) adalah seorang sejarawan Amerika Serikat. Ia banyak menulis mengenai sejarah politik, sejarah kebebasan, sejarah Partai Republikan, biografi Afrika Amerika, sejarah rekonstruksi setelah perang saudara, dan historiografi. Foner telah memenangkan berbagai penghargaan untuk tulisan-tulisannya. Pada tahun 2011, bukunya yang berjudul The Fiery Trial: Abraham Lincoln and American Slavery memenangkan Pulitzer Prize, Lincoln Prize dan Bancroft Prize.[1][2][3] Foner juga memenangkan Bancroft pada tahun 1989 untuk bukunya yang berjudul Reconstruction: America's Unfinished Revolution, 1863-1877.
