Elmet
Elmet merupakan sebuah wilayah bekas kerajaan Brythonic yang meliputi daerah yang luas, yang kemudian menjadi Riding of Yorkshire Barat pada Zaman Pertengahan Awal, sekitar sejak abad ke-5 hingga awal abad ke-7.[1] Meskipun batas pastinya tidak jelas, sepertinya wilayah ini dibatasi oleh Sungai Sheaf di selatan dan Sungai Wharfe di timur, serta berbatasan dengan Deira di utara dan Mercia di selatan. Perbatasan barat dari wilayah ini tampaknya dekat dengan Craven, yang bisa jadi merupakan bekas kerajaan Britania kecil.
