Deep Space 1
Deep Space 1 (DS1) adalah sebuah pesawat ruang angkasa dari Program NASA New Millennium yang didedikasikan untuk menguji muatan canggih, teknologi berisiko tinggi.
Diluncurkan pada tanggal 24 Oktober 1998, misi melakukan flyby asteroid 9969 Braille, yang terpilih sebagai sasaran ilmu misi.
Deep Space 1 adalah pesawat ruang angkasa NASA pertama yang menggunakan peroketan bertenaga ion, berbeda dengan roket kimia bertenaga tradisional.
